Expansion Joint Testing

Facilities are being created at CSIR-CRRI under MORTH Research Scheme B-34 for the following:

  1. Testing of raw materials used in the fabrication of expansion joints such as chloroprene and steel
  2. Performance evaluation of expansion joints by -
  • cyclic motion test
  • debris expulsion test
  • Pullout test
  • Opening movement vibration test and
  • fatigue test and
  • seal push out test
