General & Works Section h

General & Works Section is one of the important section of administration looking after the following functions in this Institute:

  • Allotment of Staff Quarters and Hostel.
  • Processing of tender for Manpower contract, Security Contract, Horticulture Contract and monthly wage bill.
  • Processing of tender for empanelment for engaging Tax Consultant and their Quarterly/Annually bills.
  • Processing of tender for empanelment of Hiring taxis on daily basis and taxi bills.
  • Processing of tender for empanelment of Printing Services and bills of printing work.
  • Processing of Electricity and Water bills of the institute and Staff Quarters, Solar panel bills.
  • Procurement of Swamy’s handbook & other rule books and processing of bills.
  • Processing of Advertisement of Newspaper through DAVP
  • Organizing the celebration of various events/days as per CSIR or GOI instructions.
  • Issuance of ID cards to regular employees, Project staff and Pensioners.
  • Processing and issuing of rubber stamp, visiting cards, letter head and name plates and processing of related bills.
  • Notification of Holiday List and declaration of working day as Holiday & vice versa.
  • Handling work related to Grant-in-aid to staff club, Departmental Canteen.
  • Processing of official telephone bills of CRRI.
  • Processing of tender for Laundry Service & laundry bills.
  • Management of Record Room.
  • Processing of Canteen and Guest house bills.
  • Bank and Post Office related work.
  • Air ticket booking for official tours through IRCTC Work, handle, e-office & e-HRMS.
  • Processing of files and related bill pertaining to Civil, Electrical & Horticulture works of MBSQ and ESD.
  • Speed Post work, Receipts of outside Dak & its distribution and Dispatch of Dak/Letters of this Institute.
  • Other misc. tasks assigned by the Competent Authority.
