Invitation to Submit Expression of Interest (EOI) for Licensing of “Wearable Light and Glare Measurement Device” Developed by CSIR-CRRI

Overview

CSIR-Central Road Research Institute invites Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from eligible and experienced Indian firms for the licensing and large-scale commercialization of the innovative “Wearable Light and Glare Measurement Device”. This head-wearable device provides real-time glare and light measurement solutions for various applications in roads and highways, transportation, industrial, scientific, research, city infrastructure, etc. The device is designed to provide accurate and reliable measurements.

About the “Wearable Light and Glare Measurement Device”

This device offers real-time glare and light measurement and display, allowing users to monitor glare and light levels instantly. It also features wireless connectivity for seamless data transfer to computers or mobile devices, and data logging capabilities for storing and analysing measurement data. Additionally, the device provides statistical analysis of glare data, enabling users to identify trends and patterns. Its wearable design enables mobility and ease of use, making it suitable for various applications requiring glare assessment.

Opportunities for Commercialization

CSIR-CRRI seeks EOIs from the registered Indian Firms / Industries / government agencies with:

• Experience in research and development, testing, and deployment of similar technologies/services
• Ability to integrate and deploy devices in various environments
• Strong technical support and maintenance capabilities
• Experience with data collection, analysis, and reporting

Selection and Next Steps

All received EOIs will be evaluated, and shortlisted firms will be invited for discussions regarding licensing modalities, supply capacity, and technical collaboration. Final selection shall be at the discretion of the Director, CSIR-CRRI, based on techno-commercial viability and relevance.

Financial arrangements and technology transfer agreements will be finalized with the selected firms.
